Saugus Police Provide Halloween Safety Tips

SAUGUS — With Halloween around the corner, Chief Domenic J. DiMella and the Saugus Police Department are reminding residents of several important safety tips as families get ready to take children trick-or-treating this year.

“While we want all of our residents to have a fun Halloween this year, the safety of the community remains our top priority,” Chief DiMella said. “Please, consider these safety tips while celebrating and let us know if you see anything out of the ordinary while out trick-or-treating.”

Halloween, which is celebrated on Oct. 31, falls on a Tuesday this year. Saugus Police will have extra officers on patrol to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.

Police also remind residents to use caution as they celebrate the weekend prior to Halloween, Oct. 27-29.
